Smas Facelift

Pearl: The SMAS facelift (Simoni Lift) is a true facelift that can improve the sagging jowls, cheeks and neck. SMAS is the layer of tissue underneath skin. By lifting the SMAS layer, drooping facial features are restored to a more youthful face position.  For patients with very loose neck bands, neck muscles can be further lifted through an incision under the chin.

During the SMAS lift an incision is made hidden at the the hairline, in front of the ear, below the ear lobe, and behind your ear. Making the incision in your natural creases helps to hide scars. Dr Simoni would then lifts the skin of the muscles of the face. Excess skin is then removed, and the smas tissues is tightened.

There is typically some swelling and healing time associated with a smas face lift compared wich is about 4-7 days. Smas facelift cannot reduce all wrinkles and supplemental wrinkle treatments may be necessary to give a complete makeover. For more information visit smas facelift section.
